Junk Food Will Bring You Misery

An article written by Junk Food's #1 Fan
So, yes yes we are all about the fashion, the shoes, the style and the glam! But you know, we have to find a way to fit into these clothes, and darlings it's not just about the fashion... It's about taking care of your lovely body and keeping it in good shape (easy on the partying there). We know, we know, we all love a good fat burger full of mayo! But you have to give your figure some credit! Your body is no machine, you have to treat it with respect and listen to what it's trying to tell you. So at the pace you're (we're) going at, you (we) should probably take a step back and make some changes. Changes can be good.
Most importantly, never start a strict diet! You will most probably end up breaking it by the third day (or weekend) and unleashing an inner junk food monster! Or you will actually gain back all the kilos you lost during that diet.
Here at YW we do not believe in diets, we believe in making (or attempting to make) it a lifestyle.
Let's start with a list of compiled info we thought might be useful for you, because as good as it tastes, junk food will make you miserable!
And here's why:
1) Pre-Botoxing: No no, we aren't talking about those facial injections everyone seems to be having lately (we'll leave this for another article). You have to keep this in mind: Whatever is bad for your body is bad for your face! So step away from those sugars, trans fats (used in packaged foods) and starches, they will speed up the aging process and not just for your body (hello wrinkles by your late-twenties).
2) A blue blue mood: So many studies have proved that people who consume high quantities of junk food are the most depressed people! So watch it there ladies, and don't always blame it on PMS.
3) Talking about PMS. Food isn't the reason why we deal with our out-of-control PMSing, but listen to this: It plays a major role in those mood swings. Sugar and starches cause for insulin to be unstable, hence causing you those I-hate-my-life-I-want-to-leave-my-husband/boyfriend/fiancé lovely mood swings. Another food category you could stay away prior tothat time of the month is caffeine and sweetened drinks. Now put that hammer down, and no one gets hurt.
4) Diet drinks! They are just bad. So so bad. Not only they are full of artificial sugar, which, is worse than regular sugar I might say, but they cause extreme bloating! And who wants bloating? (Not we!). If you are a fan of diet sodas, which many body-conscious girls are, think about it twice. Diet sodas will bloat you and add all sorts of unwanted artificial chemicals to your body. Try adopting water as a regular drink, or even fresh juices!
5) White is not the new black, not in the food department anyway. All that white bread, white rice and white processed products contain little to no fibers at all! And trust us, You. Need. Fibers. If you're having a nice burger with white bread, fries and a couple of beers on that lazy amazing Sunday afternoon, you will most probably wake up with a less than amazing Monday morning. Don't say we didn't warn you!
Keep these very basic tips in mind, and take care of that body of yours, it is the only you'll have for the rest of your life.
